RAY & CHA

A Love Story Built on Friendship, Faith, and Finding Home in Each Other

For former Cha Cruz-Behag, lovingly known to volleyball fans as “Miss Everything,” and pilot Ray Behag, their story was the kind of love that felt grounded long before it became official.

Before the wedding photos, before the Tagaytay vows, and before becoming one of the most admired couples in the local volleyball community, they were simply two people growing through life side by side — building a relationship rooted in trust, respect, and unwavering support for one another.

Cha spent years under bright lights and in front of roaring crowds, becoming one of the most recognizable names in Philippine volleyball. From her championship years with the De La Salle University Lady Spikers to her professional volleyball career, she carried both grace and grit — earning the admiration of fans for her versatility, strength, and heart on and off the court.

But beyond the athlete, many people knew was a woman who deeply valued family, faith, and quiet moments away from the spotlight.

And perhaps that was what made her relationship with Ray feel so genuine.

A steady kind of love.

The kind that makes life feel lighter, safer, and more certain.

In April 2017, Ray proposed to Cha during a Coldplay concert in South Korea — a moment that felt both intimate and unforgettable, beautifully reflective of their relationship itself: heartfelt, joyful, and deeply personal.

Then on February 28, 2018, surrounded by family, closest friends, teammates, and loved ones, Cha and Ray exchanged vows in Tagaytay.

Their wedding felt warm and sincere — elegant without trying too hard, beautiful without losing its sense of intimacy.

It was a celebration centered not only on details, but on the people who had walked life with them through the years.

From emotional moments shared with family to laughter among longtime friends and fellow athletes, the entire day carried a quiet sense of gratitude.

Not just for the wedding itself — but for the journey that led them there.

And perhaps that is what makes Cha and Ray’s story resonate so deeply.

Years after their wedding day, their story continued to grow beautifully — becoming not only husband and wife but, eventually, parents, building a life centered on love, faith, and family.
