Our Team's Story
Expressions by Bluefish is the social events arm of Bluefish Asia Events & Media — a company built on over 25 years of creating unforgettable experiences through corporate events, product launches, and brand activations.
The social events arm began in 2013. Shortly after, Bluefish was commissioned by two international event agencies to become their local partner in the Philippines. This opportunity marked a major turning point for the company, eventually shifting its direction toward large-scale corporate events, experiential activations, and brand marketing campaigns. From there, Bluefish evolved into a full-service Events & Marketing Agency, handling both local and international projects across various industries.
While the corporate side of the business continued to grow, we intentionally limited the number of social events and weddings we accepted over the years — focusing only on select celebrations that aligned with the team’s passion for meaningful, intentional experiences.
In 2026, Bluefish decided to formally separate the two divisions: one dedicated exclusively to corporate events and brand activations, and another focused solely on weddings and social celebrations.
And so, Expressions by Bluefish was thoughtfully reintroduced.

Hi, I’m Kathleen Cervantes —the Co- founder of Bluefish Asia Events & Media and the woman behind Expressions by Bluefish.
For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of producing events and experiences for brands, companies, and organizations across the Philippines. Through Bluefish, my team and I have worked on launches, conferences, experiential campaigns, and large-scale productions. These experiences taught me not only the art of execution but also the importance of connection, storytelling, and creating moments people remember.
Over the years, I realized that while I loved the energy and creativity behind large productions, I was always drawn to the more personal side of celebrations.
The stories behind every milestone.
The emotions people bring into a room.
The little moments that quietly become lifelong memories.
And that’s really how Expressions by Bluefish came to life, and why we want to reintroduce it this year.
I wanted to create a celebration house that combines the professionalism and expertise of an established events agency with a more intentional, heartfelt, and personal approach to social celebrations.
Because for me, celebrations are never just about styling or logistics. They are about people. Their journeys, relationships, milestones, and the stories they want to remember years from now.
Whether it’s a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday, or an intimate gathering, I believe every celebration should feel meaningful, thoughtful, and genuinely reflective of the people behind it.
A big part of that perspective also comes from another passion project close to my heart called PAUSEsitivity.
PAUSEsitivity is a platform I created around finding positivity, purpose, and presence through life’s intentional and unintentional pauses. Through writing, journaling, and reflection, I share stories about motherhood, marriage, healing, gratitude, and learning to slow down enough to appreciate what truly matters.
In many ways, that same philosophy naturally shaped Expressions by Bluefish.
It reminded me that the most beautiful celebrations are often not just the grandest ones — but the ones that make people feel connected, present, and emotionally part of the experience.
Today, Expressions by Bluefish brings together the best of both worlds — the structure and experience of a seasoned events agency, and the warmth of a team that genuinely cares about the stories behind every celebration we create.
