For the Groom- Benny Manaligod, the frontman of the Filipino indie-folk band The Ridleys, that moment happened by the shore.

Long before the series of successful shows, heartfelt anthems, and becoming one of the most beloved voices in the local indie music scene, Benny was simply a young man trying to balance life, juggling corporate work, thesis deadlines, and late-night gigs while chasing a dream that had not fully unfolded yet.

Then there was Sofia.

​

During a beach trip with friends, Benny sat quietly by the shore working while Sofia swam freely in the water nearby. In the middle of that ordinary moment, he looked up, took a photo of her, and felt something shift within him. A quiet certainty.​
